Alpensia Resort Convention Center, Pyeongchang, Gangwon-do, Korea
Welcome to EARTH 2019 in Gangwon-do
Greetings from Korea!
We are pleased to announce that the 15th International Symposium on East Asian Resources Recycling Technology (EARTH 2019) will be held on October 13–17, 2019 at Alpensia Resort, Pyeongchang, Gangwondo. This resort was one of the sites chosen to host the 2018 Pyeongchang Winter Olympic Games in February 2018, and we believe this location is particularly meaningful because the 2018 Pyeongchang Winter Olympics notably acted as a cornerstone for the ongoing peace and reunification process in the Korean Peninsula. The Symposium will gather together professionals and academics to exchange knowledge and experience, present the results of their scientific research, and discuss new innovations in the recycling industry.
The EARTH symposium series is being organized by the leading universities and industries in Korea, Japan, Taiwan, China, and Thailand. Held every two years, the success of the previous 14 EARTH symposia has been one of the main driving forces of the promotion of scientific and technical knowledge about recycling worldwide. We therefore believe that this symposium is currently the world’s most prestigious event in the recycling field.
The 15th EARTH Symposium will offer all participants knowledge of the latest advances in waste recycling and management, including separating valuable materials from waste, waste treatment and minimization, recovering energy from waste, wastewater treatment, environmental impact assessment, metals recycling, environmental law and regulation, and other important topics related to resources and materials recycling. We believe this symposium will encourage co-operation between the industrialists and academics into green technologies for resources and materials recycling throughout East Asia.
